PEPPERL + FUCHS Guided Level Radar
Pulscon Guided Microwave for continuous level measurement
Brochure
Measuring principle
The system is based on the reflection of an electromagnetic pulse that is directed on a sensor rod/ cable and reflected by filling material. The electronics integrated into the sensor determines the filling state from the echo time of the pulse and shows this in the display.
The electromagnetic pulse is sent out, reflected on the filling material and received again. The echo time of the pulse is proportional to the distance from the surface of the medium. The measurement procedure and the accuracy of the measurement are independent of pressure, temperature, vapor, dust, foam, viscosity, conductivity and pH value.

PEPPERL + FUCHS PROXIMITY SENSORS
Inductive Sensors
Inductive proximity sensors are the preferred choice for the majority of applications requiring accurate, non-contact detection of metallic objects in machinery or automation equipment. As a pioneer and market leader, Pepperl+Fuchs offers innovative, high quality inductive sensors to meet the needs of the worldwide automation and process control markets. Our experience, flexibility and customer focus continues to allow us to offer custom designed solutions for the most unique and demanding applications.

Magnetic Field Sensors
Our magnetic field sensor selection consists of the M12 housing style for traditional magnetic detection applications. Also offered is a non-contact, piston detection sensor for use with steel hydraulic cylinders. These magnetic sensors offer reliable piston magnet detection and are easily mounted, without the need for mounting slots or holes in the cylinder.

PEPPERL + FUCHS INDUSTRIAL VISION
Image processing is one of the most crucial and challenging sensor technologies of the future. Until recently, integrating vision sensors into practical applications was difficult and extremely expensive. Today, vision sensors can be implemented in a wide variety of industries and applications, offering cost advantages over standard solutions in difficult sensing environments.
The available devices and systems range from barcode imagers to vision sensors and system solutions that are adapted to the application requirements. The complexity of the solution and the cost of integration vary with each use. Each technology has advantages that are best suited for the application at hand.
As one of the few suppliers of industrial vision systems, we can accommodate a wide variety of image processing requirements for machine builders as well as for unique system solutions in plant engineering. We offer integrated vision sensor solutions that range from freely programmable devices to user-specific, custom-designed devices. For individual systems with demanding requirements, we provide customer-specific system solutions through our subsidiary, VMT GmbH. Our partnership with VMT enables Pepperl+Fuchs to offer the whole range of industrial image processing from vision sensors via smart cameras to a complete system.

Reduction Factor 1 Sensor
Highlights of the New Reduction Factor 1 Sensors with IO-Link
- Complete IO-Link solution from a single source: sensors, masters, and infrastructure
- Smart maintenance via stability alarm and temperature indicator
- Flexible—a broad portfolio of sensors with identical switching distance, regardless of a target’s material
- Rugged, weld-immune sensors with IP68/IP69K protection for harsh industrial environments

New Reduction Factor 1 Sensors with IO-Link Combine Benefits of Two Technologies
Reduction factor 1 sensors unify switching distances for all types of metals.
Plant designers have long had to use different types of sensors or deal with time-consuming reconfiguration when tasked with detecting objects made of different types of metal. Standard inductive sensors can only detect different metal targets when the switching distance is reduced. This is due to reduction factors that vary from one metal to another. Reduction factor 1 sensors circumvent this issue and unify switching distances for all types of metals. As the inventor of the world’s first inductive proximity sensor, Pepperl+Fuchs has extended its portfolio to include reduction factor 1 sensors with IO-Link, providing users with even more flexibility, additional features, and diagnostic options.
