BANNER ENGINEERING SENSOR

Banner LM80 Precision Measurement Laser

Even more precise applications

Banner LM80

Banner LM80 Precision Measurement Laser The LM Series of precision measurement sensors is now available in an even more precise model that features a 0.002 mm analog resolution at a range of 40-80 mm. The new LM80 model also features a smaller spot size (less than 1 mm at all measurement ranges) to detect even smaller features and take more measurements over the face of the target for even more precise profiling.

The LM Series precision measurement sensor offers best-in-class performance and real-world stability in a compact device with an intuitive user experience.

  • Precise measurements with 0.002 - 0.004 mm resolution
  • Fast 0.5 ms response speed and 0.25 ms sampling rate
  • Compact housing designed to fit into small spaces
  • Best-in-class thermal and mechanical stability
  • IP67 and Grade 316 stainless steel for chemical compatibility
  • Optional Remote Sensor Display (RSD) for remote monitoring and setup
  • Supports Industry 4.0/IIoT with IO-Link®, discrete, and analog outputs in one model

Banner SI-RF RFID Safety Switches

Non-contact safety switches

INTRODUCING SI-RF SERIES RFID SAFETY SWITCHES

SI-RF Series safety switches utilize RFID technology to monitor doors, gates, and other movable mechanical safeguards that separate personnel and equipment from a hazard. This non-contact system operates at the highest levels of safety, resists tampering and nuisance trips, and offers diagnostic capabilities that make it easy to resolve problems and minimize machine downtime.

SI-RF Series safety switches send a signal to the machine control system to prevent or stop hazardous situations when the guard is not in the proper position.

  • Single and cascade models available to protect one or multiple entry points
  • Status and performance data from each sensor in a cascade chain is available using In-Series Diagnostics (ISD) and can be accessed with an HMI or similar device
  • On-sensor LED indicator provides at-a-glance status information
  • Cascade up to 32 sensors in a series using a standard 4-wire cable with M12 connectors, T-adapters, and an end plug
  • Tamper resistance to meet the needs of any application with unique, high, and low code models
  • Achieves Cat 4, PL e, or SIL CL 3 safety ratings alone or in a cascade chain
  • Rugged, IP69 construction withstands exposure to high-pressure, high-temperature washdown
  • High tolerance (10 mm) to misalignment enables reliable performance in challenging industrial environments where machine vibration and impact are possible

BANNER ENGINEERING SENSOR

Q130R Radar Sensor

Banner Q130R Radar Sensor provides reliable detection of moving and stationary targets in harsh outdoor conditions and at a lower lifetime cost than competing technologies. A graphical user interface makes the sensor easy to set up and provides precise control of sensor settings. Models are available with 90° x 76° or 24° x 50° beam patterns to meet the requirements of a variety of vehicle detection and collision avoidance applications.

  • Reliable detection of moving and stationary targets
  • Simple setup and precise control with an intuitive graphical user interface
  • Unaffected by ambient weather, including rain, snow, fog, sunlight, and temperatures from -40 to 65° C
  • Rugged IP67 housing for dependable long-term operation in harsh environments
  • Available with 90° x 76° or 24° x 50° beam patterns for a wide variety of vehicle detection and collision avoidance applications
  • Features half the dead zone as previous US radar products

QS18 AND Q20

New Small Spot Diffuse Models of QS18 and Q20 Sensors

The QS18 and Q20 Series of photoelectric sensors are now available in diffuse models with a small, visible spot for detecting the presence/absence of small features (for example screws or tabs) on a larger part. The new models provide a compact, cost-effective alternative to laser sensors for contrast detection of features in error-proofing and inspection applications.

Key Benefits

  • Narrow beam pattern (+/- 3 mm across the range) provides reliable small-object detection and precise position control and error-proofing (for example, verifying that a bolt is present in a hole).
  • Visible spot size varies by distance:
    • QS18 models feature a more rectangular spot (3 x 3 mm at 100 mm)
    • Q20 models feature a more rounded spot (6 mm diameter at 75 mm)
  • Small feature detection with a compact, cost-effective photoelectric sensor.
  • Fluorescent light resistance for reliable performance regardless of ambient lighting.
